Extracts of Neopuntia Leaves
This is a highly consumed cactus in Mexico, also known as nopal or barbaric fig. This plant contains plant fibers which, when coming into contact with the lipids contained in the stomach after a meal, have the capacity to turn into a gel that coats them. A natural mass composed of the absorbed fats and the gel of the plant is formed. It is too compact and too thick to be absorbed by the body and is therefore rejected by natural means.
Neoputia is rich in amino acids (18, in the form of highly digestible proteins) as well as vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, C and K) and minerals (copper, potassium, calcium, magnesium, manganese and iron) .
